In Parliament: Calgary's Innovative Tech Sector

On May 5, I delivered the following statement in the House of Commons:
CALGARY IS A DYNAMIC CITY. IT IS A RESILIENT CITY.
ANALYSTS KNOW THAT THE ADVANCES CANADA HAS LED IN OIL AND GAS REVOLVES AROUND THE DEVELOPMENT OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY.
DESPITE A TUMULTUOUS 6 YEARS IN ENERGY MARKETS, CALGARY’S TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY CONTINUES TO PROSPER – AND IS DOUBLING DOWN ON GROWTH AND OPPORTUNITIES.
VENTURE CAPITAL INVESTMENT IN ALBERTA TECH OPPORTUNITIES HAS EXPERIENCED PHENOMENAL GROWTH. 2020 SAW $455 MILLION INVESTED IN ALBERTA TECH COMPANIES, ECLIPSING ALL PREVIOUS RECORDS.
INFOSYS HAS ANNOUNCED PLANS TO CREATE 500 JOBS.
M-CLOUD IS MOVING ITS HEAD OFFICE HERE.
EXTREME TELEMATICS CORP, NOBAL TECHNOLOGIES, STELLAR ALGO – I COULD GO ON AT LENGTH WITH THE OUTSTANDING OPPORTUNITIES.
